After Forty Digest is a weekly publication covering health, money, career, and lifestyle topics for men in their 40s, 50s, and beyond.

We started the Digest because we noticed a gap. Most content aimed at "men over 40" was either sales copy dressed as advice, or general lifestyle content that treated the demographic as a monolith. Neither was particularly useful for a 47-year-old wondering whether he should be worried about his cholesterol, a 54-year-old thinking about semi-retirement, or a 61-year-old figuring out what to do with the second half of his career.

Our approach is straightforward: we take a topic worth understanding, do the reporting, and write it plainly. When we cover a health study, we say what the study actually found rather than the marketing summary of it. When we cover a financial strategy, we walk through the mechanics and what it costs. When we cover a lifestyle trend, we try to figure out whether it's real or whether it's a small group getting written about a lot.

We work to a few principles:

How We're Funded

After Forty Digest is supported by a mix of newsletter sponsorships and affiliate partnerships with services we've reviewed. When we include a link that may earn us a commission if you take an action, we mark it clearly and it does not affect our editorial coverage.

We do not accept payment in exchange for favorable coverage. We do not publish sponsored content presented as editorial. When a piece of coverage is paid or sponsored, it is clearly labeled as an advertisement.
